NGO Partners

JasBhagati Foundation:

Project  JAGRITI has been supported by Jas Bhagati Foundation from 2010. Jas  Bhagati has also supported some students for completing their Class X  and XII exams and Teachers Training.

UMANG:

An  NGO which conducts theatre workshops for children from weaker sections  of society, UMANG partnered with ANAWA in 1997 and has been doing  theatre workshops with ANKUR students since then. The workshops were  initiated in the month of May (mid-may) as a way for keeping students  occupied during the vacation period when they would disappear to the  village and not return till August only to disappear in Sept/ Oct once  again. A three-week workshop would end in June beginning, leaving 3  weeks for the summer break.

Helping Hands / Value Education Services:

Angela  and Peter Lawrence run this NGO. They have partnered ANAWA since 1997  and helped in raising funds in kind in the form of Books and Stationery  and gifts and sweets during festivals, for distribution to the students.  For many years they held “Bal Melas” on 14 November where students from  other such NGOs also participated and organised competitions between  NGOs and generally fun times of playing games, dancing, eating and  take-home gifts, all sponsored by various corporates. Their association  continues to date.

Kinderhilf Foundation

This  was a German Foundation who was a big support in the initial years when  ANAWA felt it was necessary to provide nutrition to the mal-nourished  students in its care. The organisation provided our students a glass of  milk and some multivitamins on a daily basis for many years.

CASA:

CASA  has partnered with ANAWA for more than 15 years, donating 100 blankets every winter for distribution to the underprivileged. These are normally distributed to students who are new admissions, so as to avoid repetition.
